About
Descript lets you edit audio and video by editing text — delete a word from the transcript and it's gone from the recording. It's beloved by podcasters and YouTubers for making editing dramatically faster. Pros: text-based editing feels like magic, great for podcasts and talking-head video, useful free tier. Cons: advanced features cost extra, and it's a specialized tool, not a general AI assistant. Pricing changes often — check the vendor's site for the current price.
